Regional Discernment Groups are for men ages 16-55 who want to actively discern the call of the Lord in their lives. These groups will meet for times of prayer, presentations on discernment, food and fellowship with other like-minded men. There are multiple dates and locations for these meetings.
Priesthood Sunday, the last Sunday of October, is a special day set aside to honor the priesthood in the United States. It is a day to reflect upon and affirm the role of the priesthood in the life of the Church as a central one. Use this day and thank your priest for all he does in your parish and in your life!
Discernment Weekends allow attendees to spend four days living at the seminary and gives a first-hand opportunity to see what it’s like from the inside. Attending a Discernment Weekend is perfect for anyone from the Archdiocese of Detroit (high school senior to 55 years old) who is discerning a vocation to the priesthood.
National Vocation Awareness Week (NVAW) is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
